Police Show up to the Party!

LA Occupiers joined activist groups on Thursday Oct. 6 on a 


giant march toward the LA Financial district. Some of the 


organizations that the occupiers joined with that day were the 


Refund California Campaign, Make Banks Pay, Alliance of 


Californians of Community Empowerment, and the SEIU 


union. We took the intersection with over 2,000 heads!


Stopped traffic and truly made a statement. Some of the 



protesters were trying to cash a huge jumbo check for $673 


billion, made out to the “People of California.” There were 10 


peaceful arrests. I want to thank the LAPD for having a great 


attitude. In fact some of them were tearing up in front of me 


when we all yelled “WE ARE PEACEFUL” continuously. That 


was awesome :’)
