Magic Dough ( My Stop Motion Animation Attempt/Experience )

This is my final project for my Film class at Pasadena City

College. A narrative story about two clay friends turned into

a reflective journal style documentary. Instead of going t

hrough the traditional still photography process I had to co

pe with some rules. This is why I had no time to finish my

narrative if I was planning on turning in the assignment on

time.

The rules where as follows:

A. Duration/Length 3:00-4:00 TRT (four minutes max. total

running time) including title and end credits. Aspect

ratio=1.33:1. Color.

B. Title at the begin

ning of the film in the first 15 seconds. Titles and end credits

must be in-camera, live-action diagetic title. 1 pt penalty for

each being CG.

C. Sound is required. Four lines of dialog, maximum. Music

allowed, but

instrumental only, no lyrics. Music may be used throughout,

but do NOT use just one song "wall to wall." There must be

at least two music changes if music runs throughout the

film. Two (2) bonus points for a completely non-dialog

project.

D. Shoot 1.33 aspect ratio. Use school cameras, unless

teacher allows otherwise.

E. Hard cuts only. No postproduction visual effects or

transitions of any kind

allowed except for two dissolves and one fade in and one

fade out.
Sound Tracks:

9th Wonder - Pray (Instrumental)

JAY DEE - Dreamy (Instrumental)

This Town Needs Guns - Zebra

*THE RIGHTS RESERVE TO THE ARTISTS AND RECORD

LABELS! THIS IS A STUDENT FILM AND NO COPYRIGHT

INFRIGHTMENT WAS INTENDED.*
